Fundraising is an essential part of our travel cheer teams.  In order to cut cost for our families we require that each travel team participate in 2 additional fund raisers along with the league requirements.  More information will be given as the season begins and teams are formed.

volunteers

Each squad needs a team mom and sometimes two!  We welcome parent volunteers to help with each squad and if you think you'd be interested in helping coach one of our younger squads feel free to see me for information.

travel

Is an important part of competitive cheer and it is important to understand that if your daughter is placed on a competitive squad, travel is not optional.  It's important to the entire squad that this commitment truly be considered before signing up because again travel is not optional.

competition

Locals:This competition is held in Hampton Roads at a local high school TBA and the competition is usually held at the end of October.

Regionals: Located in Virginia Beach, VA  (provided they qualify and opt to go) Travel is required on Thanksgiving day.  Girls are required to stay overnight competition to beheld the day after Thanksgiving.  We prefer that all teams travel as a group.

Nationals:  Located in Orlando, Florida on the Disney Wide World of Sports Compound.  (If they qualify) Cost per girl to travel to Nationals is roughly $900.00 per girl.

Tiny Mite ages 5-7:This is the youngest of our lady knights squads and the goal at this level is to teach basic cheer techniques, basic jumps, and  very basic tumbling, as well as stage presences.  Our Tiny Mites cheer for Tiny Mite football games which are usually the early morning games.  They also will perform at our local competition.  They will travel to at least one away game.  Practice for these girls will be no more than twice a week for one hour.

Mighty Mites ages 8-9: This age group we continue with basic skills but look to critique all the skills preparing the girls for the competitive level.  These girls cheer for Mighty Mite football teams and do more traveling to away games.  Mighty Mite cheerleaders also do an exhibition at our local competition.  These girls will practice no more than twice a week for no more than an hour.

Jr. Pee-Wee ages 9-10: This is a competitive squad where girls will begin to work on more intricate skills such as stunting, tumbling(back handsprings, tucks).  In addition to cheering for Jr. Pee-Wee games these girls will prepare for Local, Regional, and National competition.  These girls will travel if they qualify.  Practice for these girls will be at least twice a week three times during summer training.
